SilaCote has high elongation and is highly flexible, however unlike most two-part roof coating systems it doesn’t contain any plasticizers (the substance that is added to a material to make it softer and more flexible). When exposed to UV (sunlight), plasticizers migrate and evaporate eventually leaving the coating brittle and prone to splitting.
Adhesion values are second to none, once applied it provides instant waterproofing to any substrate (rainproof within 15 minutes). Unlike most coating systems where the adhesion value decreases over time and you could peel the membrane, SilaCote adhesion makes that impossible due to its polymer design.
