Adotuf is a liquid chemical treatment designed to harden and dustproof existing cement-bound concrete floors. Applied to the concrete surface, it penetrates the pores and capillaries, where it reacts with the concrete to form an extremely hard, chemically resistant crystalline material that becomes an integral part of the floor.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation

The concrete floor must be sound, clean, dry and free from oil, grease, fats and other contaminants.

New concrete floors should be allowed to dry thoroughly for at least 10 days before treatment. Open the surface pores by wire brushing and remove dust and loose particles using a soft broom.

2. First Application

Dilute Adotuf at a ratio of 1 volume of product to 4–8 volumes of water, depending on the porosity of the concrete.

• Porous floors: Use a 1:4 dilution.

• Dense floors: Dilution can be increased to 1:8.

Apply evenly over the floor using a watering can or suitable spraying equipment.

Keep the floor saturated for approximately 3–4 hours, during which time any areas that dry out should be retreated. After this period, remove any unabsorbed material using a rubber squeegee or soft broom.

3. Second Application

Apply the second treatment on the following day, or once the first application has thoroughly dried.

Use the same procedure, but with a slightly more dilute mixture. Very porous floors may require additional applications.

The manufacturer recommends applying a greater number of dilute treatments rather than fewer, more concentrated applications.
