Build-in Protection for Reinforced Concrete
Create watertight basements and underground structures with Type B integral waterproofing. This range covers waterbars and waterstops, injection hose systems, hydrophilic joint sealants, tie-bolt hole seals, wall collars/flanges, and joint accessories—aligned to BS 8102:2022 design principles. Trusted systems from Newton and Wykamol help concrete resist hydrostatic pressure for long-term performance.
What Is Type B Waterproofing?
Type B uses the structure itself—a reinforced concrete shell with correctly detailed joints and penetrations—as the primary barrier to water ingress. With appropriate joint components and penetrations sealed, the concrete remains watertight and durable.
System Components
-
Waterbars & waterstops for day/construction and movement joints
-

FAQs
Is Type B enough on its own?
Often yes for low/medium risk sites. For higher risk, combine with Type A and/or Type C as part of a combined strategy.
Waterbar vs injection hose—what’s the difference?
Waterbars stop water at joints from day one. Injection hoses allow post-pour resin injection if a joint leaks later.
Do I need hydrophilic sealants as well?
Recommended at complex details and penetrations where movement or irregular geometry is expected.
Can I use these with Type A or C?
Yes—Type B integrates well with external barriers (Type A) and internal cavity drain (Type C) for belt-and-braces protection.
