Hydrophilic Construction Joint Waterbar – HydroTank 315
HydroTank 315 Waterbar is a high-grade, hydrophilic waterbar designed to provide superior joint sealing in cast-in-place concrete and precast construction joints. Manufactured from a polymer that swells upon contact with moisture, it effectively prevents water ingress, making it ideal for water-retaining and earth-retained structures.
Utilizing hydrophilic acrylate polymers embedded within a durable butylene carrier material, HydroTank 315 maintains exceptional elasticity and tensile strength, even when fully expanded within the joint. It is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solutions, making it suitable for sewage treatment plants, biogas facilities, and waste holding tanks.
Unlike conventional waterbars, HydroTank 315 swells up to 9 times its original size, ensuring a complete and reliable seal even in non-compressed joints.
Key Benefits:
✅ Resistant to permanent water pressure up to 2 bar
✅ Delayed swelling – Prevents premature expansion during installation and concrete curing
✅ Swells up to 9 times its original size for maximum sealing efficiency
✅ Highly resistant to the alkalinity of concrete
✅ Maintains elasticity & tensile strength even when fully swollen
✅ Age-resistant – No embrittlement over time
✅ Resistant to sewage, chlorine & sulphur – Ideal for aggressive environments
✅ Retains integrity through multiple wet/dry cycles
