HydroBond 314 Bentonite Granules – Detailing for HydroBond Pre-Applied Membranes
HydroBond 314 Bentonite Granules are naturally occurring sodium bentonite granules designed for detailing the Newton HydroBond System, particularly where HydroBond 403 Plus terminates at piled walls, support piles, pile caps, and penetrations through the membrane.
Sodium bentonite is a highly absorbent clay that swells up to 15 times its original size upon contact with water, forming a dense, self-sealing, impermeable barrier. When confined within a joint, this swelling action creates a high-resistance waterproofing seal, effectively preventing water ingress in otherwise difficult-to-detail areas.
