Firecryl FR is a fire-resistant acrylic sealant and filler designed for use in passive fire protection systems. Engineered to help prevent the passage of fire and smoke through joints, gaps and penetrations, it provides fire resistance of up to 4 hours when installed in approved systems with a PE backer rod.
The intumescent formulation expands when exposed to temperatures above 120°C, helping to seal openings and restrict the spread of fire and smoke. Once cured, Firecryl FR remains flexible, is waterproof and can be painted to match surrounding surfaces, making it suitable for both new-build and refurbishment projects.
