MAPETHERM AR1 GG – Large-Grain Cementitious Mortar for Insulation Panels

MAPETHERM AR1 GG is a high-performance, one-component large-grain cementitious mortar designed for bonding and levelling insulation panels in thermal insulation systems. Suitable for internal and external use, it ensures strong adhesion and a smooth, reinforced finish.

Where to Use

• Bonds thermal-insulating panels such as foam/extruded polystyrene, expanded polystyrene, mineral fibres, and cork directly to render, masonry, or concrete on walls and ceilings.

• Acts as a reinforcing coat for insulation panels with embedded fibreglass mesh in thermal insulation systems.

Recommendations

• Not suitable for bonding panels to metallic surfaces or substrates with large movements.

• Avoid use on panels with smooth surfaces (e.g., kraft paper-coated mineral fibres, skinned extruded polystyrene, coated polyurethane).
