MAPETHERM AR2 is a single-component, cement-based mortar designed for bonding and smoothing thermal insulating panels and cladding systems. It delivers excellent adhesion, workability, and thixotropic properties, making it ideal for professional insulation installations on vertical and overhead surfaces.

Bonds all types of thermal-insulating panels (foam/extruded polystyrene, mineral fibres, cork, etc.) on walls or ceilings.

Recommendations

Not for metallic surfaces or substrates with large movements (wood, cement-fibre).

Avoid use on smooth-surfaced panels (e.g., kraft paper-coated mineral fibres, skinned extruded polystyrene, high-density pressed foam).

On poor-quality render or deteriorated substrates, use mechanical anchors for secure fixing.
