PPS Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL Battery Backup Unit for Foul Water Pump Systems
PPS Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL is a high-capacity battery backup unit designed to maintain operation of foul water pump systems during a mains power failure. It provides dependable emergency power for below-ground pump installations where continued pumping is critical during outages.
Designed and tested for use with PPS D10 and 501 foul water pumps, the Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL supports one duty pump operating from battery power, with the capability to connect up to two pumps on a non-simultaneous operating basis.
Backup Performance
The Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL can provide emergency power to up to two PPS D10 or 501 foul water pumps, operating one pump at a time during a mains power failure.
Based on a typical duty cycle of approximately 10 pump starts per day, the system can deliver up to 19 days of backup runtime, depending on site conditions, pump demand and installation configuration.
During a power outage, the duty pump automatically draws power from the battery unit. Once mains power is restored, the system automatically recharges and returns to standby mode without user intervention.
Intelligent Power Management
The Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL incorporates Dynamic Polling (DyPol) technology, which supplies power only when required to maximise battery efficiency and extend backup duration.
The system cycles intelligently between hibernation, request and supply modes. A digital display provides real-time system status, fault diagnostics and battery condition information. An internal event log records key operational events, while a local user menu allows the battery life indicator to be reset after maintenance or battery replacement.
System Integration & Monitoring
The Hi-PowerMaxx2 XL can operate as a standalone battery backup unit or be integrated with AlertMaxx2 and Rego1 monitoring systems for enhanced alarm and notification capability.
The unit is designed to power one duty pump at any given time and is not intended to run multiple pumps simultaneously during a power outage.
