Battery Backup for PPS V-Series V4 & V6 Groundwater Pump Systems
PPS Hi-PowerMaxx2 is a high-capacity battery backup unit engineered to maintain operation of larger below-ground pump systems during a mains power failure. It is designed for demanding applications where uninterrupted pumping is required to help protect basements and critical drainage installations.
Primarily designed for use with PPS V-Series groundwater pump stations, including V4 and V6 systems, the Hi-PowerMaxx2 provides extended backup capability for residential, commercial and light industrial installations.
High-Capacity Battery Backup Performance
The Hi-PowerMaxx2 can support up to two PPS V4 or V6 groundwater pumps operating on a non-simultaneous basis during a mains power failure.
Based on typical operating conditions of approximately 10 pump cycles per day, the system can provide up to 47 days of backup power, subject to site conditions and demand.
In the event of a power outage, the duty pump automatically draws power from the fully charged Hi-PowerMaxx2. When mains power is restored, the unit automatically recharges using an integrated compact quick charger, restoring the battery from empty in approximately 5 hours.
System Reliability & Monitoring
A digital display provides clear system status information and fault diagnostics to support monitoring and maintenance.
The unit supports one duty pump operating from battery at any one time and is not designed to power multiple pumps simultaneously during a power outage.
System Integration
The Hi-PowerMaxx2 can operate as a standalone battery backup unit or be installed in conjunction with the AlertMaxx2 EC High Level Alarm or Rego1 monitoring systems where enhanced visibility or alarm integration is required.
