RIW Gas Seal Blue Gas Barrier & Damp Proof Membrane
RIW Gas Seal Blue is a high-performance three-layer polyethylene gas barrier and damp proof membrane designed to protect buildings against moisture, radon, low-level methane and carbon dioxide. Reinforced with a polypropylene grid for added strength and durability, it provides combined gas protection and damp proofing in a single membrane, eliminating the need for a separate DPM in many applications. Suitable for use beneath ground-bearing concrete slabs and above suspended beam and block floors, Gas Seal Blue delivers reliable long-term protection for residential, commercial and industrial construction projects.
Manufactured from virgin polyethylene rather than recycled materials, the membrane offers outstanding tensile strength, puncture resistance and dimensional stability. The distinctive blue and white construction provides simple on-site quality control, while its comprehensive sealing system ensures airtight lap joints and continuity throughout the building envelope. Gas Seal Blue is BBA Approved and complies with the latest guidance from BS 8485, BRE and CIRIA for gas protection systems.
