RIW Waterstop Hydrophilic Bentonite Waterbar
RIW Waterstop is a high-performance sodium bentonite hydrophilic waterbar designed to prevent water ingress through non-moving concrete construction joints. When exposed to water, the bentonite core expands to form a permanent watertight seal, filling voids and creating an effective barrier against water migration. It is specifically designed for reinforced concrete structures and provides a modern alternative to traditional PVC and rubber waterbars, eliminating the need for complicated joint welding and pre-formed corner pieces.
Containing approximately 75% sodium bentonite, RIW Waterstop delivers exceptional expansion properties while remaining easy to install on both vertical and horizontal construction joints. Suitable for use in Type A and Type B waterproofing systems in accordance with BS 8102, it is ideal for basements, retaining walls, lift pits, tunnels, water-retaining structures and service penetrations where long-term waterproof performance is essential.
