Self adhesive precompressed sealing tape

PRE-COMPRESSED open cell polyurethane foam sealant tape. Used for the sealing, insulating and weather proofing of façades joints. The tape is impregnated with an adhesive and can be used without primer. Weather resistant to at least 600Pa. Matches the requirements of DIN 18542: 2009, class BG1. Conforms to DIN 4102, class B1. Fully UV and rain resistant. After application the tape expands to fill gaps and also adapts to uneven surfaces.Supplied in various roll lengths and widths.

Instructions

• The joint edges should be parallel and free from dirt and remains of cement. When unwinding Soudaband Pro BG 1, allow for an extra 1cm per running meter of joint. Start at the bottom in case of vertical joints. Fix the pre-compressed band with the self-adhering side to one joint edge by means of a filling-knife. After applying the pre-compressed band will expand and press against the joint edges and fill uneven areas.

Applications

• Ideally suited for vapour open, rain proof and permanently elastic seals and seals which must meet the EPB requirements (Energy Performance and Indoor Climate) and the requirements of the EnEV DIN 4108 regarding airtightness. Sealing of expansion and movement joints between window frame and wall up to 100 meters building height, as well as joints between door and window frames and wall, in concrete, steel and timber construction
