VANDEX INJECTION MORTAR (VIM) Retroactive Damp Proof Course Injection Mortar
VANDEX INJECTION MORTAR (VIM) is a high-performance cementitious injection mortar designed to create a permanent retroactive damp proof course (DPC) in existing masonry walls. Formulated with Portland cement, graded quartz sand and active waterproofing chemicals, it reacts with moisture and naturally occurring salts within the masonry to form insoluble crystals that block capillaries, pores and fine cracks, preventing rising damp.
Suitable for brick, stone, rubble-filled walls and historic masonry, VANDEX INJECTION MORTAR (VIM) is injected into pre-drilled holes where it expands its crystalline action beyond each injection point, creating a continuous moisture barrier throughout the wall. As well as forming a waterproof barrier, the mortar fills voids left by drilling, creating a solid plug for long-lasting protection against rising damp.
