Visqueen Urban Drainage Geomembrane
Visqueen Urban Drainage Geomembrane is a flexible, 100% recycled polyethylene geomembrane designed for use in stormwater attenuation systems and as an impermeable membrane within permeable paving systems. The black, 0.5mm thick membrane is supplied in multi-folded 4m x 12.5m rolls, providing 50m² per roll.
Suitable for a range of urban drainage and geomembrane applications, it can be used to line and wrap underground stormwater attenuation crates in light-duty situations, up to a maximum of two units deep. It can also be installed over the subgrade formation level and to the sides of the sub-base within System C permeable paving applications where an impermeable membrane is required.
The membrane is flexible and easy to detail on site. When correctly jointed using the recommended Visqueen accessories, it provides a continuous waterproof barrier. Lap joints can be bonded using Visqueen UDG Double Sided Jointing Tape, additionally sealed with Visqueen GR Lap Tape where required, or heat welded to form an effective seal.

Installation & Jointing
The membrane should be clean and dry when jointing. Laps should normally be a minimum of 150mm and bonded using Visqueen UDG Double Sided Jointing Tape. In demanding site conditions, Visqueen GR Lap Tape can also be used. Lap joints should be pressed and rollered to achieve a completely sealed joint.
Alternatively, lap joints can be heat welded. Welded laps may be less than 150mm where the integrity of the joint is not compromised. Pipe penetrations should be sealed using Visqueen Preformed Top Hat Units or VisqueenPro Detailing Strip.
When used around stormwater attenuation crates, the trench base should be level and free from voids and protrusions, with a minimum 100mm sand blinding specified before installation. The geomembrane should be protected on both faces with Visqueen TreadGuard 300 protection layer.
For System C permeable paving applications, the geomembrane should be installed over a smooth, continuous blinded subgrade free from irregularities. The upper face should be protected with Visqueen TreadGuard 300 before the sub-base aggregate is installed.

Storage & Handling
Store horizontally, under cover and in the original packaging. The membrane can be cut using a sharp retractable safety knife or robust scissors. The product and associated system components should not be installed below 5°C.
