Winkler BC SEAL BAND – Self-Adhesive Butyl Band for Waterproofing Corners & Joints

Winkler BC SEAL BAND is a self-adhesive, flexible butyl sealing tape reinforced with a non-woven fabric top layer, designed for use within the Winkler ONE waterproofing system. It provides reliable, watertight reinforcement for wall-to-floor joints, corners, pipe bases, and detailing areas prior to applying liquid or cement-based waterproofing systems.

With excellent adaptability to uneven surfaces, BC SEAL BAND is ideal for cement, tile, metal, asbestos cement, and other compatible substrates. It is often used in conjunction with BC SEAL PAD for sealing around penetrations.

📌 Recommended Uses:

• Wall-to-floor junctions

• Internal/external corners

• Sealing pipe bases and drains

• Joints between different materials (e.g., concrete to metal or tile)

• Detailing prior to Winkler ONE, ONE VERTICAL, or cement-based products

🛠 Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or loose particles. Use WINFIX CONCRETE if surface is powdery.

2. Apply the Band: Peel off the protective film and press the band onto the surface, avoiding air bubbles.

3. Overlap Joints by ≥ 5cm: For continuous runs, ensure at least 5cm overlap between strips.

4. Special Applications: For expansion areas (e.g., corrugated sheets), create an “omega” shape by bonding the edges and leaving the centre unbonded.

5. Cover Within 24 Hours: Always overcoat with a Winkler waterproofing product within 24 hours of application.
