ARBOKOL 1025 SP Two-Part Epoxy Joint Sealant
ARBOKOL 1025 SP is a two-part epoxy sealant designed to form a hard-wearing, chemically resistant seal in internal stress-relief joint systems. It accommodates small amounts of movement in tension while allowing considerable movement in compression, making it particularly suitable for joints exposed to continual water contact and demanding chemical conditions.
It is suitable for swimming pools, compression joints, tile-to-tile joints and long-term water-immersed joints, as well as shower rooms. ARBOKOL 1025 SP provides resistance to most alkalis, dilute acids, petrol, diesel, jet fuel and common cleaning chemicals used in swimming pool environments. It is not recommended for structural joints.

Joint Size Suitability
- Minimum joint width: 6mm
- Maximum joint width: 20mm for single application
- Minimum joint depth on porous substrates: 10mm
- Minimum joint depth on non-porous substrates: 6mm

Where applicable, a suitable joint filler such as closed-cell polyethylene foam should be used to provide the correct joint depth.
Application
Joint surfaces should be clean and free from contamination. Surfaces should be degreased using an appropriate surface cleaner before application.
ARBOKOL 1025 SP is supplied with the base and curing agent in the correct mixing ratio. The entire contents of the curing agent tin must be added to the base tin, with both components thoroughly mixed until completely homogeneous. Spiral "pig tail" mixing equipment is recommended.
Once mixed, the sealant is normally loaded into empty cartridge dispensers using a heavy-duty follower plate before application with an ARBO caulking gun. The sealant should be firmly extruded into the joint while maintaining even pressure on the gun trigger.

The manufacturer advises allowing the sealant to achieve full chemical cure before any form of immersion. Lower temperatures will extend the cure time.
