Newton CDM 906 Lime Inhibitor – Free Lime Preventer for Concrete

Newton CDM 906 Lime Inhibitor is a solvent and caustic-free solution designed to prevent the leaching of free lime from concrete surfaces. It is applied before the installation of a Newton cavity drain membrane waterproofing system, ensuring long-term protection against lime deposits that could affect drainage performance.

✔ Prevents free lime build-up, protecting drainage and waterproofing systems.
✔ Solvent and caustic-free, making it safe and easy to handle.
✔ Non-hazardous once diluted, ensuring user safety.
✔ Long-term durability for ongoing protection.
✔ Compatible with alkaline substrates, including fresh and aged concrete.

Typical Applications

🔹 New concrete floors (under 12 months old) – Apply to the entire slab or raft, including recesses formed for CDM BaseDrain or CDM FloorDrain.
🔹 Older concrete floors (over 12 months old) – Apply to recesses and extend 200mm on either side of construction or movement joints.
🔹 Walls – Apply 200mm up from the floor, particularly around a ‘kicker’ formed at the base of a concrete wall.
🔹 Underpinned properties – Apply 200mm on either side of underpinning joints. For dry-packed areas, use a cement-based tanking product before applying CDM 906 Lime Inhibitor.
