Newtonite 803 Lath Mesh Membrane 10m2

Damp proof membrane, comprising of high density polyethylene membrane with a rot-proof polythene mesh that is heat-welded during the manufacturing process to the surface of one side. The meshed surface creates a mechanical key to allow the membrane to be plastered, rendered or to receive dot & dab plasterboard.

Note:

The Newton damp proofing membrane has gone through various name changes over the years, they most recently had two systems –

803 – Newtonite – this was a 3mm HDPE membrane, we also offered a non-meshed iteration of this in 2m x 20m

805 – Newlath – this was a 5mm HDPP membrane, this was a mix of 3mm and 5mm meshed membranes, the only difference was a technical performance in the plastic memory (HDPE vs HDPP)

Most recently they have now merged these two systems into a single brand – Newtonite Lath (meshed) and just Newtonite (non-meshed) which are all HDPE (no HDPP available any more)

So the performance characteristics are now all identical and they’re all made to 3mm thick.

Newtonite Lath Mesh Membrane is light, clean and easy to handle. It can be cut with a sharp knife, scissors or shears. The membrane is inert and is highly resistant to water, alkalies, saline solutions and organic acids, and it is not affected by minerals. It is also resistant to bacteria, fungi and other small organisms.

Newtonite Lath Mesh Membrane is guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years and has a life expectancy of at least 50 years.
