RIW Double Drain Geocomposite Drainage Membrane
RIW Double Drain is a high-performance geocomposite drainage membrane designed to protect below-ground waterproofing systems while efficiently directing groundwater away from the structure. Manufactured from a profiled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) core bonded to a permeable geotextile filter fabric, it creates a durable drainage layer that relieves hydrostatic pressure and safeguards primary waterproofing membranes from damage during backfilling. Suitable for basements, retaining walls, podium decks, reservoirs and other below-ground structures, Double Drain enhances the long-term performance of external waterproofing systems.
The profiled HDPE core provides a high-capacity drainage channel, while the geotextile filter prevents soil particles from blocking water flow. In addition to protecting waterproof membranes from backfill damage and root penetration, Double Drain can improve the thermal performance of below-ground structures. It is quick to install, lightweight, and can often be used as an alternative to traditional protection boards where effective drainage and membrane protection are required.
