RIW Cavity Drain R7 is a high-performance Type C cavity drainage membrane manufactured from virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Featuring 8mm studs and a robust profiled design, it creates a permanent drainage cavity that safely collects and channels water to a suitable drainage system, helping to keep below-ground structures dry. Ideal for basement waterproofing, cellar conversions and retaining walls, it can be installed onto concrete and masonry substrates, including damp surfaces.

Designed in accordance with BS 8102 Type C waterproofing principles, Cavity Drain R7 provides effective protection for Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 basement environments when installed as part of a complete maintainable drainage system. Manufactured from durable virgin HDPE, it offers excellent compressive strength, high drainage capacity and long-term resistance to chemicals, making it suitable for new build and refurbishment projects. It can also be combined with Type A or Type B waterproofing systems for enhanced protection.
