Soudatight WP – Flexible Waterproofing & Air-Sealing Membrane

Soudatight WP is a ready-to-use, one-component hybrid polymer paste that cures to form a seamless, flexible, watertight and airtight membrane. It is designed particularly for waterproofing difficult details and junctions, including window-to-floor connections, balconies, terraces and above-ground foundation areas.

The moisture-curing formulation provides excellent flexibility and crack-bridging properties while maintaining adhesion to slightly damp or lightly dusty substrates. Soudatight WP can be used externally, with internal applications also possible, and can be painted, plastered or bonded over once cured.

For reinforced applications, Soudatight WP is applied in two layers with Soudatextile reinforcement embedded into the first wet layer. The TDS specifies a minimum 2mm total thickness, with the reinforcement overlapped by 3–5cm where multiple pieces are used.

Important: Soudatight WP is not suitable for waterproofing against pressurised water or permanently stagnant water. It should also not be used for movement/expansion joints unless used in combination with Soudatextile.

Yes. Once cured, Soudatight WP can be painted, plastered or bonded over. Soudal recommends carrying out a compatibility test with the chosen paint or coating before application.

5. Can Soudatight WP be used for permanently standing water?
No. The manufacturer's technical data specifically states that Soudatight WP is not suitable for sealing against pressurised water or long-term stagnant water.
