SumpFlush Access Cover, PP Frame, 450mm x 450mm
Polypropylene-framed access cover with a 450mm x 450mm clear opening, manufactured to FACT A specification for pedestrian loading applications.
This access cover is specified for use with the SumpFlush wastewater pumping system where a lightweight, non-metallic cover solution is required.
System Context
The SumpFlush is a fully automatic wastewater pumping system designed to pump surface and/or ground water to a higher level where gravity drainage is not possible or economical.
The system provides up to 65 litres of storage capacity depending on inlet depth and can accept water from car parks, car washes, floor areas, downpipes, cavity membrane drainage systems, and similar applications.
The SumpFlush system is not suitable for receiving foul waste. For foul water pumping applications, specification advice should be obtained prior to selection.
System Construction
A complete SumpFlush system consists of a polyethylene tank, an automatic wastewater submersible pump, and a compatible access cover. This PP-framed cover provides an alternative to galvanised steel covers where site conditions allow.
Discharge & Installation
Discharge is via solvent-welded 1¼ inch Class E PVC pipework. Optional discharge reducer kits can increase the external discharge diameter to 1½ inch or 2 inch to help reduce friction loss.
Inlet positions can be specified to suit site requirements. Inlet information can be provided at the time of order or drilled on site.
Specification Guidance
For groundwater and surface water applications where inflow cannot be controlled, twin pump systems complete with a high-level alarm and battery backup system should be specified in accordance with BS 8102:2022 and PCA Guidelines. Alarm and battery backup options can be supplied to suit project requirements.
