FIXA POLYMERA® MS MS Polymer Liquid Waterproofing Membrane
FIXA POLYMERA® MS is a single-component, semi-fluid, ready-to-use MS Polymer based liquid membrane designed for waterproofing, flexible bonding and local repairs on horizontal and vertical surfaces. The solvent-free and isocyanate-free formulation provides a highly flexible, UV-resistant coating that can cover and fill cracks up to 5mm.
POLYMERA MS is suitable for indoor and outdoor use across a wide range of substrates, including concrete, stone, marble, ceramic, tile, wood, glass, metal, brick, Betopan and aerated concrete. It can be used for balconies, terraces, inclined roofs, wet areas and below-ground applications where protection is required against non-pressurised water and ground moisture.

Surface Preparation
The substrate must be sound, solid and free from materials that could prevent adhesion, including dust, oil, tar, paint, silicone, curing materials, detergent and mould oils.
Weak areas of concrete should be repaired and poorly adhered plaster removed. Static and dynamic cracks should be treated using appropriate repair or sealant products before applying POLYMERA MS.
Under normal conditions, primer is not required. However, where the surface is dusty or excessively wet, FIXA recommends POLAN A Polyurethane Floor Primer. POLYMERA MS should be applied 6–18 hours after priming.
Application
POLYMERA MS is supplied ready to use. Do not dilute or add water, solvent or other external substances. Mix the product before use.
The product can be applied using a spatula, flat trowel or notched trowel. When used as a liquid membrane, allow 6–12 hours after the first layer before applying the second layer. The second coat should be applied once the first layer is walkable. For deep cracks that may collapse after the first coat, the second coat should be applied within 12–24 hours.
Where POLYMERA MS is being used specifically for repairing or bonding, the manufacturer states that a single layer can be applied.
Coverage & Packaging
The stated consumption is 1.40–1.50kg/m² for approximately 1mm thickness per layer, although actual consumption varies depending on the application area, surface roughness and absorption.
POLYMERA MS is supplied in:
- 1kg tin cans
- 7kg plastic buckets containing a 7kg aluminium foil package
- 14kg plastic buckets containing 2 × 7kg aluminium foil packages
Storage & Shelf Life
Unopened POLYMERA MS can be stored for 12 months between +10°C and +25°C in a dry environment protected from sunlight. The manufacturer specifies a maximum storage height of three layers.
During application, appropriate protective clothing, gloves and safety glasses should be used.
