Desmothix is a polymeric rheology modifier (thickener) specifically developed as a liquid additive for Desmopol polyurethane membranes. It enhances application on vertical and sloped surfaces by preventing run-off and ensuring uniform thickness. Ideal for new construction and refurbishment projects, Desmothix allows seamless, waterproof, and fully adhered membranes to be applied without sagging.

Recommended Uses:

• Vertical or sloped waterproofing applications (upstands, balconies, overhangs, and irregular surfaces).
• Enhanced adhesion for Desmopol membranes in roofing, bridge decks, and structural waterproofing.
• Protecting spray polyurethane foam (SPF) systems (TECNOFOAM).

Application & Mixing Instructions:

1. Mixing Ratio:
   • Maximum 1L of Desmothix per 25kg of Desmopol.
   • Start with 20ml per kg of polyurethane membrane and adjust if needed, up to 40ml per kg.
2. Mixing Process:
   • Stir continuously until a homogeneous blend is achieved.
3. Application Methods:
   • Roller (short-nap acrylic wool)
   • Brush
   • Airless Spray
   • Squeegee
   • Trowel
4. Coating System:
   • Apply 2-3 thin coats for best results.

• Desmopol Membrane Consumption: 1.5kg - 1.8kg/m² (varies based on surface conditions).
