Eagle Aluminium Paint is a thin, bituminous-based aluminium coating designed to provide light and heat reflectivity, helping to reduce solar degradation and heat gain. With a silvery finish, it offers long-lasting protection for bituminous coatings, aged asphalt, and primed steel.

Application Guidelines:

Surface Preparation:

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound.
2. Remove grease, dirt, rust, or organic growth (e.g., moss or lichen) with a fungicidal wash.
3. If surface dust or weathered bitumen is present, prime with Eagle Bitumen Primer and allow to dry.

Application Method:

1. Stir Very Thoroughly Before Use – Do not thin. Continue stirring periodically.
2. Apply with a brush or mohair roller using light pressure (for best results, use a soft bristle brush).
3. Coating Requirements:
   • Apply 2 thin coats.
   • The first coat should just cover the black bitumen surface.
   • Apply the second coat as soon as the first coat is dry. Avoid pooling.
4. Drying Time: Approximately 1 hour, depending on temperature, humidity, and surface conditions.
5. Weather Considerations:
   • Do not apply if rain, frost, or overnight dew is expected before drying.
   • Bronzing may occur if conditions are not observed.
   • Wear polarized sunglasses when applying on bright days to reduce glare.

Waiting Period Before Application Over Other Coatings:

• Hot-applied coatings: 24 hours
• Solvent-based coatings: 3 days
• Water-based coatings: 14 days

Safe Handling Precautions:

• Flammability: Highly flammable – follow appropriate safety measures.
